A Cricut smart-cutting machine is the ultimate gift to find under the tree this year! And, I’m here to help you decide which must-have items you need.
Cricut Machine Gift Guide
The ultimate crafty gift is a Cricut machine. But, which one? A lot of this depends on your budget and what you plan to use your machine to create. I personally love my Cricut Maker and use it more than any of my other machines.
The Cricut Maker’s cutting capabilities are so broad and you can cut a variety of materials like chipboard, leather, wood, and aluminum to create everything from Personalized Fabric Pillows to DIY Leather Luggage Tags. It has an adaptive tool system, with an innovative design, that allows you to easily change out the tools making it even easier to craft and create projects as expansive as your imagination.
While I love the Explore Air 2 and have a list of reasons why this machine is a great option too, the Maker is just so versatile and in my opinion a better investment. If you have the budget for it, it’s definitely the way to go!
If you don’t plan to work with a lot of different materials, or you want something more compact then I highly recommend getting the Cricut Joy. Compact and portable the Cricut Joy fits in a cubby or looks great on a counter. Cricut Joy packs away easily and sets up instantly, making it super easy to move from room to room.

Cricut Material Must-Haves
Like vinyl, iron-on makes it so quick and easy to alter and personalize hats, shoes, tote bags, or other clothing items. I use it all the time to personalize favor bags, and make cute shirts for every occasion! You can even use it on a wood surface which means you can grab those old signs at the thrift store, add a coat of paint, and use iron-on to create your own wall art.
