DIY Chalky Finish Nightstand Makeover

I'm excited to share this DIY chalky finish nightstand makeover I recently did for my daughter's bright and bold bedroom makeover.  I have partnered with DecoArt to show you how you can refurbish those hand-me-down pieces of furniture that just don't fit in with your decor.  I love the Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint, it's so easy to use and the results are always amazing! I picked up this little nightstand from a garage sale for $25.  It's a great piece of solid wood furniture, but … [Read more...]

Bright and Bold Girls Bedroom Makeover

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape® for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine. A little over a year ago we moved into a new house and much to my dismay it's been a slow process of making it our home.  Schedules are always jammed packed, work gets in the way and then there is the issue of agreeing with my spouse on which project to tackle first...and let's not even discuss design dilemmas! But, I recently talked my sweet hubby into tackling the kids rooms and we are … [Read more...]

“Dad You Rock” Father’s Day Gift

Disclosure:  I am a member of the core blogger program with DecoArt.  I receive compensation and product for my partnership with this brand.  All ideas and opinions are 100% my own. We think our dad ROCKS and this year the kids and I decided to give him a special Father's Day Gift he can treasure.  Every time we go for a walk my kids are always collecting rocks and I usually end up finding a few stowaways when I do laundry, so it seemed fitting that we use some of the rocks to make a gift for … [Read more...]

This post is sponsored by Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint.  As always all ideas, projects and opinions are 100% my own. I wanted something bright and cheerful and decided on this gorgeous color from Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint.  It's called … [Read more...]

Create. Dream. Play. Art Party

Art inspires creativity, imagination and lots of colorful fun.  That is why I decided to host a Create. Dream. Play. Art Party play date with some of our dear friends and let the creativity flow.  One of my favorite play dates was an art activity we did a few years ago with an old sheet, paint and spray bottles.  I decided to make an ordinary play date extraordinary with the free Lots-O-Dots printables from Piggy Bank Parties. To create a memorable afternoon with your kiddos all you … [Read more...]

Lots of Lavender

A friend of mine has been redoing her sweet little girls bedroom and asked me to help her with a few projects. It's been fun and really makes me want to get started with Aubrey's room redo (can't find fabric I love for the bedding, yet. Anybody have a fabric source they love?)I made a custom cornice board, which turned out adorable, but of course I forgot to take pictures of it. She wanted it to match this sweet bedding from Land of Nod.I painted a a custom dress up suitcase for her. Love … [Read more...]
