Rainbow Art Party

Around here we love arts and crafts so I was thrilled when a dear friend asked me to help with her twin's 5th birthday.  They had requested a colorful rainbow party and their mom decided to host it at a local paint your own pottery studio, Walls of Clay. I had limited space to work with and a very short window of time (1 week) to pull it all together, but I couldn't wait to design something for such a fun theme.  Carli from Dimpleprints quickly customized her colorful art party package for me … [Read more...]

Birthday Countdown

My daughter's birthday is just around the corner (panic!) so when I saw this project by Maria of Love & Sugar Kisses I knew it was a must!As soon as we started counting down for Christmas she has been asking when her birthday is and this little birthday countdown will help us both keep track.  She was so excited when I showed it to her, and has already designated a time to change it each day.This was a very easy and cheap project (in my case it was FREE!)  I used one of my dollar store picture … [Read more...]

Look Whoo’s Having a Party {Owl Birthday Party}

I recently had the privilege of working on this cute and fun owl party.  Tammy with Tammy Labuda Photography  contacted me and asked if I would help her throw a fun and memorable party for her sweet little girl who was turning 5. The birthday girl wanted an owl party with lots of pink and mom wanted an outdoor, eclectic event that incorporated fun activities to keep the party guest busy.  I had less than 2 weeks to plan this party, but had a great time putting this party together for this sweet … [Read more...]

Happy Birthday P&P

My precious twin's turned 3 on Thursday and we've had lots of fun the past few days celebrating! It all started with a little celebration at their preschool on Wednesday. On their birthday's each kid gets to make a poster to share their favorite things and tell their class more about them. They also get to take a treat and a special toy to share. P & P were so excited to get to take a toy to school, but were super shy when they were asked to get up in front of the class.Next, we celebrated … [Read more...]

Watermelon Picnic {Party}

I created this sweet Watermelon Picnic party for my grandma's 80th birthday celebration. A family reunion was planned to help celebrate this big milestone.  Unfortunately, my little family was unable to make the trip to Utah to attend.  Although we couldn't be there I wanted to help make sure that she enjoyed her special day!  So I did what I do best and put together some party decorations for my mom to take with her. I set-up the party a few days before my parent's left for Utah so we could … [Read more...]

Aubrey’s Special Day

Today was Aubrey's "Special Day" at school.  At her school they celebrate each child's birthday and the kids are supposed to decorate and bring a poster with fun facts about themselves and they can bring treats to share with the class.  They gave me the poster a few weeks ago and I had plans to decorate it with Aubrey last week thinking that her day was last week, but realized it wasn't until this week, the 19th.  For whatever crazy reason I got it in my head that the 19th was Friday, I was … [Read more...]

Bottle Cap Necklace

Our sweet friend Kiley is turning 4 and she adores Justin Bieber...or as my cutie likes to call him Justin "Beaver" (she honestly thought he was a beaver, she was very confused when I showed her the necklaces. Oh, how I love her!)I wanted to get her a gift that was related to her interest (aka: Justin Bieber) but I couldn't find anything appropriate so I decided to make her some bottle cap necklaces with his picture.This was my first attempt at these, but it was easy and SUPER cheap (I'm … [Read more...]

Flower Bouquet

Today's craft was inspired by Filth Wizardy. I told Aubrey we were going up to Daddy's office to eat lunch with him for his birthday and she wanted to make him a present. When I asked her what she wanted to give him she said flowers, so we set to work creating a beautiful bouquet of flowers.Here is how you can make your own:1. Draw flowers, leaves and a circle on cardboard (we used cereal boxes) and cut out the shapes.2. Glue a toilet paper roll to the circle with a hot glue gun, creating … [Read more...]
