Wow, 2012 flew by and I am excited to take a look back and see where this little "hobby" of mine has come. It certainly was an adventure to see so much growth and success throughout the year and I thought I'd recap some of my favorite highlights month by month.

This year I had lots of teacher gifts to make and wanted to give them something practical that I knew they would use so I purchased several gift cards, but that seemed a little too boring. I decided to also send along some treats and made DIY hot cocoa packets & truffles.

"On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, Twelve Drummer's Drumming ...but all the drummers were on Christmas vacation so we decided that on this final day we would gather the family and deliver songs of delight.

Peppermint Play Dough
I needed a bunch of classroom gifts this year, but didn't want anything that was sugar loaded or required a bunch of time. I made homemade pumpkin pie play dough for Thanksgiving and decided that something like that would be perfect to hand out to our friends at school. I used the recipe The Idea Room shared and added red food coloring to make ours a little more colorful.
