EEK! October is here, and it’s no secret that I’m batty for Halloween. I’m excited to get you in the trick-or-treat spirit with a colorful Batty for You Halloween dinner party that your little ghosts and goblins are sure to love!
If you have been around for a while you know that I strongly believe that it’s the little details that make celebrations feel extraordinary. Whether you are planning a play date with friends or simply planning a special family dinner you can make it feel extra special with this colorful Halloween celebration.
Growing up my mom always made holidays feel extra special and many of my fondest memories come from fun family dinners and the holiday traditions she created. Every year in October my mom planned a Halloween themed dinner for our family and they were always something we looked forward to as kids. Now that I’m a mom I love that I get to build the same memories and traditions with my kids.
This year I’m obsessed with all the bright colors and have been loving the pink, orange, and aqua color palette. I found these adorable felt bat drink stirrers and they were the inspiration for my ‘Batty for You’ Halloween dinner. I decided to create a table setting with this modern color palette and lots of geometric designs for a fresh and fun Halloween dinner for the family.
I started by making DIY bat plates for each table setting by cutting out black bat wings with my Cricut. I glued the wings to the bottom of black dessert plates and layered them on top of colorful striped plates. This is such a cute and easy way to tie in the bat theme.
The paper products for this party are frighteningly cute. Everything from the striped paper plates, polka dot napkins to the felt bat drink stirrers are giving off some super colorful and fun Halloween vibes.
I created a focal point on the table by using simple items I already owned like a black and white striped table runner, pumpkins, and bat confetti. I created a simple dessert display right on the table to give it a little bit of height and added visual interest. I filled a cupcake stand with bat-themed cupcakes and created a Halloween candy charcuterie board with the after-dinner treats.
For dinner, I served bat-shaped quesadillas, vampire pizza bites, bat fruit skewers, and a vampire blood white hot chocolate.
You can’t have a Halloween party without candy so I created mini Batty for Candy Favor Bags that my kids could fill with treats from the Halloween Candy Charcuterie board.
This Halloween, show your kids how crazy you are for them and create a new family tradition with a Batty for You Halloween dinner party. This family-friendly Halloween celebration is the perfect way to create spooktacular memories together!
