I love creating fun and easy themed treats for Halloween. Whether I am surprising my kids after school or whipping up a big batch to deliver to friends and neighbors I am all about the treats when it comes to Halloween. I especially love it when I can upcycle items I already have lying around the house to make these treats.

Neon Glow in the Dark Halloween Monster Jars

Supplies Needed:

DecoArt Black Light Neon Paint
Mason Jars
Paint Brush
Googly Eyes
Pipe cleaners
Cheesecloth
Paper Shred
Candy

How to Make Glow in the Dark Halloween Monster Jars

The intense neon paint can be used on many surfaces to create vivid glow effects when viewed under a black light.

Use a paintbrush to paint the Black Light Neon paint onto the outside of the jar. I used both plastic and glass jars and painted 2-3 coats on each jar depending on the color of the paint.

Once the paint dries you can embellish your jars with googly eyes, cheesecloth, and pipe cleaners to create a mob of cute monsters.

Add a little bit of paper shred to the bottom of the jar and then fill it with candy.

Give your monsters a little extra pizzaz and top them off with more paper shred to create their fuzzy hair.

Download and print the Happy Glow-o-Ween printable tags and use scissors to cut out the tags.

Attach the tags to each of the jars and deliver to friends and let the good times glow this Halloween!
