And last but not least my very favorite project (see here and here for others)…The Little Leeson’s Grocery Store

I really wanted Santa to give all 3 kids something with “wow” factor, but wanted to make sure it was something we would get lots of use out of. My inspiration came from the Leaps and Bounds Grocery Store, but for several reasons I knew I would not be bringing that one home.I unlisted the help of my wonderful hubby, convinced him this was a good idea, explained my vision and put him to work. Hubs was terrific and did a great job constructing this adorable market. I really wish I had taken before pictures so you all could see how truly amazing this project was.We made this beauty from FREE wine crates, borrowed paint, poles lying around in the garage, fabric leftover from the twins birthday& lots of love! This entire project cost about $40 with all the supplies. I raided our pantry to “stock” the store, added a $10 cash register, $15 grocery cart and bought some $5 canvas grocery bags to complete the look. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how it turned out and the best part is we have had so much fun with it.

Trouble Sharing
Everyone wanted to play with the grocery cart at the same time

I still have some detail work to complete it. I plan to fancy up the awning (it is currently just tucked & Velcroed to the top), add a chalkboard sign to the side, and add hooks to the back to hang grocery bags, but like I said it was 4 am when we finally called it quits. 🙂

Santa’s little workshop has been very busy this month and it has been nice to take a break from “crafting” and enjoy playing with our little ones & their new toys.
