How to Make DIY Cricut Hugger Valentine Card
Step 1
Open up Cricut Design Space and the free Koala Card Design File.
Step 2
Place your cardstock on the standard grip mat and load it into the machine when prompted. Select the correct material and press the flashing button to start the cutting. Remove the pieces from the mat with the Cricut spatula tool.
Step 3
Once all the pieces have been cut it’s time to start putting your Koala Card together. Start by gluing the white ear pieces on the koala. I cut the face out of vinyl to make it easier to attach the smaller pieces.
Step 4
Place a glue dot on the back of an old-fashioned candy stick, it looks just like a piece of bamboo a koala would snack on. Place the candy in the middle of the koala card.
Step 5
Fold the arms of the koala at the score lines and wrap them over the candy, use glue dots to secure in place.
Tuck this cuddly valentine into your kid’s lunchbox or backpack for a sweet surprise. Or make a bunch to send for classroom valentines. Either way, these cuddly koalas are sure to make you the cool mom this Valentine’s Day!
I love how easy these cards are to make with the Cricut, you could easily make 20-30 in less than 30 minutes. If you are looking for other creative valentines you can make with your Cricut be sure to check out these projects.
