School is out and we’re celebrating with a bright and fun Surfin’ Into Summer Pool Party!
Last year we celebrated the end of the year with a Popsicle Pool Party and since I love traditions we couldn’t let this school year end without a celebration. Hosting a simple party at the neighborhood pool is a great way to accommodate a large group of people and it really is the perfect way to welcome summer. I wanted everything to be bright, bold and fun, just like our summer plans.
I decided on a Surf Shack style party and asked Carli from Dimpleprints to help me create a fun invitation and party printables for our Surfin’ Into Summer Party. I loved the fun design with the surfboards and the bright colors made it easy to throw everything else together. You can download the entire party package here.
I kept everything pretty simple. Bright beach buckets were filled with goldfish, fresh fruit and “pool noodle” twizzlers, “inner tube” candy, “shark bait” Swedish Fish, and “Shark Attack” Jell-o Cups. I found these adorable surfboard lollipops at Oriental Trading, aren’t they fun?!?
Our little Surf Shack was made extra special for the kids with goodies I ordered from Oriental Trading. I knew I wanted to have lots of things to keep the kids entertained and I also wanted them to double as party favors. I purchased mini beach balls, leis, sunglasses and piled them in buckets around our little “Surf Shack.” The kids could grab and have fun with them at the pool or wait and take them home to enjoy throughout the summer. My favorite part was the inflatable surfboards, the kids absolutely loved taking turns “surfing” and it provided lots of laughs! If you’re looking for party favors or decor for your beach themed party Oriental Trading has a huge selection and great prices that will make your event a big hit!
One of the best parts about hosting a pool party is the kids are happily entertained. Everyone had a blast splashing around in the pool, surfing on their inflatable surfboards and sneaking treats from the “Surf Shack” I loved carrying on the tradition of throwing an end of year party and Surfin’ Into Summer in style!
Do you have any special end-of-school traditions? Or do you have a fun way to celebrate the start of summer?
