If you are looking for a delicious spooky treat to serve at your next Halloween soirée, look no further than this scrumptious Spider Web Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Pie that combines all the best elements of the season.
Peanut butter cheesecake filling—check. Decadent dark chocolate—check. Chunks of Halloween candy—check. A fun candy spider grinning from a white chocolate web—check. Less than 15 minutes prep time—double-check.
Chocolate and Peanut Butter
Besides being one of the best flavor combinations ever, I think chocolate and peanut butter treats just scream Halloween. Maybe it’s because scoring Reese’s peanut butter pumpkins was the highlight of my youthful Trick or Treating. Or maybe it’s just that cooler weather calls for richer, darker sweet treats.
Whatever the reason, marrying peanut butter and chocolate with cheesecake is pure genius. And there’s no baking involved! Like I said—genius!
Easy No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
All you need for this delectable dessert is a brick of cream cheese, some peanut butter, vanilla, and a container of whipped topping.
Simply use a mixer to cream the peanut butter, cream cheese, and vanilla, then add a tub of whipped topping and fold that in.
To make this basic cheesecake filling even more fantastic, chop up some peanut butter cups and stir into the mixture.
Spoon the filling into a ready-made chocolate cookie crust and pop it in the freezer while you make a silky smooth ganache for the top of the pie.
To create the ganache simply bring the heavy cream to a gentle boil and then pour over a handful of dark chocolate candy melts. Spread the ganache over the pie and return to the refrigerator until the topping is set.
How to Make Chocolate Spider Web
You could serve the pie just like this, but I wanted something a little more “spooktacular” for a Halloween treat. Consequently, I added a white chocolate spider web inhabited by a peanut butter cup spider.
To make the web I chose one of my favorite decorating products, Chocolate Maker Chocodrizzlers (Purchased at Hobby Lobby) which is a small piping bag of chocolate melts that you pop in the microwave. Stick pretzels and candy eyes turned Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup into a quick and cute spider.
Although this dessert is extremely rich, you’ll find that it’s not overly sweet. To make serving easier, run your knife under hot water for a few seconds before cutting into this monstrously delicious Spider Web Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Pie.
Spider Web Peanut Butter Pie Recipe
Halloween Spider Web Peanut Butter Cup Pie

This Spider Web Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie combines candy, chocolate and peanut butter to create a scrumptious and spooky Halloween treat.
Ingredients
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softned
- 1 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 2 Tsp Vanilla
- 7.5 oz Package of Mini Peanut Butter Cups, chopped
- 8 oz Frozen Whipped Topping
- 6 oz Ready Made Chocolate Pie Crust
- 2/3 Cup Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers
- 1/3 Cup Heavy Cream
- 1 Pkg. Microwaveable White Chocolate Melting Waffers
- 1 Pkg. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
- 8 Pretzel Sticks
- 2 Candy Eyes
Instructions
- Cream together softened cream cheese, peanut butter, and vanilla until uniform in color.
- Add the container of thawed whipped topping and beat until there are no more white streaks.
- Fold in the chopped peanut butter cups.
- Spoon the mixture into the chocolate cookie pie crust and smooth with a spatula. Place in the freezer to set.
- Prepare the chocolate ganache by heating the heavy cream until just short of boiling. DO NOT scald.
- Pour the cream over the chocolate melting wafers and let sit for about 3 minutes. The hot cream will soften the chocolate making it easier (and faster) to achieve a smooth consistency. Stir the chocolate and cream until the chocolate is completed melted and shiny.
- Remove the peanut butter cup pie from the freezer and pour the ganache over the top. Smooth with a spatula.
- Let the ganache harden. You can put the pie in the refrigerator or the freezer to achieve this step. However, if you choose the freezer do not let it stay in for more than 15 minutes or you will lose the shine on the ganache. The slower refrigerator method is recommended.
- To decorate the top, heat white chocolate melts in the microwave according to package directions. Knead until smooth.
- Snip off the piping tip to create a small opening. Pipe 4-5 straight lines radiating out from a center point on one edge of the pie.
- Complete the web by piping connected arcs between the lines.
- Make the spider by inserting the pretzel sticks (you may have to shorten them) into the sides of the peanut butter cup. Hint: run an ice pick or other sharp-pointed metal object under hot water and then carefully drill 8 holes into the sides of the cup. This helps prevent the peanut butter cup from cracking or breaking.
- Finally, pipe a tiny bit of white chocolate onto each eye and place them on the spider. Position your spider in the middle of your web.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve and enjoy!
This looks so cute. I love all things that have peanut butter and chocolate! Thank you for sharing this recipe.
