Halloween is almost here! It’s time to pick out your costumes, stock up on sweets, and invite the neighbors over to scare up some fun. Gather your goblins and ghouls and get ready for a fa-BOO-lous time at this BOO on the Block Halloween Party!
While Halloween traditions may look a little bit different this year, that won’t stop us from creating extraordinary Halloween memories!
This year I don’t plan on taking my kids trick-or-treating from door to door, but I didn’t want them to miss out on all the Halloween fun. Instead, we will be inviting a few friends and neighbors over to stop by the Boo Bar at our BOO on the Block Halloween party where they can treat themselves to tricks and treats!
This colorful Boo Bar is a fun way to provide low-contact treats this Halloween. Simply set up a table or bar cart outside and create cute ghost-themed Boo Bags and fill them with your favorite candy from HERSHEY®. With a quick trip to Walmart, you can pick up everything you need to make Halloween spooktacular this year!
BOO on the Block Halloween Party Ideas
Hosting a fa-BOO-lous block party is easy with these frightfully-fun details.
Scare up Some Guests
Make it easy for everyone to say yes and join in the fun by sending out all the details ahead of time. Whether you plan to send a text, email or hand-deliver cute invitations with a box of REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups be sure you send out the details 2-3 weeks before the event.
Be sure to tell everyone to dress up in their costumes and parade on by for a safe and fun socially – distant gathering outdoors.
Craft Hauntingly Cute Decor
There’s no need to overcomplicate things. Use balloons to create a colorful focal point and set-up a station for your activity and treats.
I made a BOO Bar by updating this DIY Bar Cart with a black and white fabric awning and a “Trick or Treat Yo Self” sign. I used black, pink, orange, and ghost balloons to create a quick and inexpensive balloon arch to anchor my bar cart. To up the spooky factor, I covered everything in spider webs. This would also make the perfect backdrop for some spooktacular photobooth photos.
Give Out Ghoulish Goodies
We can’t forget about the candy! Create cute grab and go ghost goodie bags for each guest. Turn plain white lunch sacks into the cutest little ghosts and fill them with all of your favorite HERSHEY® candy for a safe and easy way to hand out Halloween treats from the BOO Bar. Fill them with REESE’S Peanut Butter Pumpkins and KIT KAT® Bars and you are certain to be the favorite house on the block!
Don’t forget to download these cute Halloween BOO tags to add to your ghoulish goodies.
Make Frighteningly Fun Food
Halloween is the perfect excuse to whip up some terrifying treats. These over-the-top Halloween Monster Shakes are a fun treat to serve and share. Who can resist a delicious shake, especially when it’s topped with chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate?
The HERSHEY® 170-piece assortment bag of candy and REESE’S Peanut Butter Pumpkins are the perfect topping for these monster shakes.
Play Ghoulish Games
Scare up some fun with some ghoulish games. Let the kids take turns playing a ghost-themed BOO-loon pop or Ghoul Bowling game for prizes.
No matter how you celebrate Halloween, your celebration will be the best on the block with your favorite treats from HERSHEY at Walmart. Stock up on everything you need to create Boo-riffic treat bags, Halloween dessert, and the ultimate BOO on the Block Party.
