I hosted this Owl themed baby shower for my beautiful sister who was expecting their first baby in December. I started with the idea that it would be a “book” themed shower because she is a teacher and loves books and decided to use cute Owls to complete the theme.
I ordered these darling invitations from Tickled Plum, who was fabulous to work with.
I used my favorite tool, the Cricut to make a banner with the sweet baby’s name to hang behind the food table. My sister loved it and hung it in the baby’s room.
Guest were sent home with these adorable Owl cookies, which I ordered on Etsy from TSCookies. She was incredible to work and rushed my order to make sure they arrived on time, aren’t the adorable!
I also made bookmarks to tie in with the “Bedtime Stories” theme to handout as favors. The saying said “Baby Boy is on his way! Thank you for celebrating with us today.” Bethany’s Baby Shower 12-4-10.
It was so much fun to shower my sweet sister with love and gifts for her new baby. She now has a well stocked library so she can curl up in the rocking chair with her sweet baby boy and read him bedtime stories.
Bethany and Josh welcomed their sweet baby boy, John Patrick on December 28, 2010 and he is simply perfect.
Cute!!!!! My sister in law is thinking of themes for her shower…….I'm going to show her this!! Great job! 😀
That turned out great! I also co-hosted an owl themed baby shower this fall. The mommy-to-be loved it. Love the book idea too!

Love ALL of it, as usual. I have never met someone as talented as you at putting together beautiful parties amazingly decorated! Wish you would rub off on me:)
I love that – adorable, and so great to give books rather than cards!

So cute! Those cookies are amazing! And the bookmarks are a fun favor!
Those cookies look so delicious. I may have to go and bake even though it is 11 at night.

PS, i'm your newest follower!!! whoohoo!
@Claire I used the Storybook cartridge for the cupcake toppers & banner (it is a flower accent, but works great as scalloped circle) The Celebration cartridge also has a scalloped circle, but it is slightly different & punches a hole at the top.
This is an adorable shower! I love the soft colors, the owl theme, the decor…all so sweet!! Saving this for future! 🙂
I love this! I'm having an owl theme for my baby shower too. 🙂
