I adore rustic, country charm and think the muted colors and simple details make an excellent party theme. So I was thrilled when my aunt asked me to help with some of the design details for my cousin’s “Lil’ Buckaroo” cowboy themed baby shower. My favorite element was the custom fabric banner I made, the old ladder used to display mason jars with lemonade and the charming cupcake toppers.
This shower was being held in Utah and I was basically sending a “party in a box” full of goodies for them to use at the shower. However, while at my mom’s house finalizing items to send we decided we might as well take pictures of everything and threw together a little BBQ dinner (in less than an hour) to showcase the party design.
The design for this party focused on burlap, red bandanna print and denim. Miranda from Whimsical Printables helped customize the invitation and printables and captured the rustic, yet playful charm of this shower perfectly. I loved the little rocking horse and couldn’t believe how perfectly it matched an old wooden rocking horse my mom had. I used an old wooden ladder, a pallet, cast iron skillets, mason jars and a few other rustic items I collected from around the house to put this little display together. We ordered BBQ for dinner, bought a package of mini red velvet cupcake and brownies for dessert and served ice cold lemonade to wash it all down.

Everything about this shower is simply adorable! Thanks so much for sharing. I am going to have to convince my horse-loving daughter to have a cowgirl party and use this as inspiration!
