Materials
- Large Chinet® White Napkins
- Washi Tape
Instructions
- First, open the napkin all the way so that
it forms one big square. - Starting at the upper tip, fold the left side of the napkin
about 1/3 of the way diagonally to the right. Don’t press the fold down yet. - Repeat the last step on the opposite side. Adjust both
sides as needed so that both sides are symmetrical. Now press down the folds. - Fold the left side in about 1/3 of the way starting from the
upper tip, similar to what you just did in the last two steps. Don’t press
it down yet. - Repeat the last fold along the right side and adjust for
symmetry. When you are happy with the shape of your tie, gently press the folds down. - Fold the upper 1/3 of the tie diagonally to the right so the
tip of the tie is perpendicular to the lower part. - Turn the tie over so the tip is now pointing left.
- If you are using the tie for decoration you can add diagonal
stripes with washi tape. Either wrap the edges around the back side of the napkin or cut them off. - Wrap the tip around the top of the tie, and tuck it in
underneath to create the knot. If needed secure with a small piece of tape on the back.
Voila! You now have a charming necktie napkin fold ready to impress Dad on his special day. Pair it with his favorite meal, and watch his face light up with delight.
