It’s as sweet as can bee: a Winnie the Pooh Baby shower! Welcome your sweet new bundle of joy with a delightful trip to the Hundred Acre Woods.
Such a Sweet Theme
New arrivals call for extra special celebrations. This adorable Pooh shower certainly fits the bill. Playing off the twin themes of bees and honey, this extraordinary party is loaded with special touches to make it charming and memorable.
Repetition, Repetition, Repetition
The cute honeycomb design, for example. Used not only for the napkins and cups but the backdrop and a jar full of honeycomb cereal echo the motif. A great strategy for making party decorations cohesive.
You’ll see the same technique applied to the simple bee design featured on the cupcake topper, the honey bottles, and the welcome sign. I used my Cricut to create the design so it could easily be added to things like invitations, game sheets, and thank-you cards.
Bee Strategic
Another great party decorating tip is to strategically place large items around the room and near the focus table. Since Pooh Bear is the star of this baby shower, I gave both large cutouts places of honor. The balloon backdrop, large trifold screen, and baby blocks add to that “wow” factor you’re looking for.
It’s All in the Details
Once you have the big showstoppers in place, it’s time to turn your attention to the details. I love the little “hunny” pots made from the small terra cotta pots and filled with candy.
You always want to send home guests with a thank-you gift and it’s a good idea to make them part of the decor. For one gift I simply filled Mason jars with honey taffy and tied a piece of yellow gingham on top.
So cute! The second was just as easy. Small glass jars sporting the little bee logo were filled with honey. To make them extra special, I tied on honey dippers.
Very Versatile
Colorful and versatile, the Pooh theme can be used for all sorts of occasions: birthdays, book clubs, or a kid’s tea party. However you choose to use this darling Winnie the Pooh collection, your guests are sure to declare you’re one honey of a host.
