about being a mother is that it is an incredible journey full of ups and downs, tears and laughter, heartbreak and joy. I never realized how crazy difficult and rewarding being a mom could be.
I admire the numerous women in my life who have been amazing examples and shown me how to be a great mom. Today on Mother’s Day I honor each of you…
My grandmother’s who are both the most caring, generous and unselfish people I know have taught me the importance of service and helping others; a trait I hope to pass on to my children.
My mother who is creative, passionate about learning and dedicated has taught me how to turn ordinary moments into extraordinary adventures. She has shown me how to love unconditionally, taught me the importance of acceptance and reminds me to live in the moment. My mom is such an extraordinary women and mother who always goes the extra mile to show how much she cares. She believes in making things magical, fun and memorable and I hope that I can continue to do this for my children.
I am grateful for my “mommy” friends who are traveling on this roller-coaster of motherhood and teaching me along the way. Each of you are an inspiration and I am grateful to be surrounded by such exceptional women.
My grandmother once gave me this piece of advice shortly after my first was born, “Your children are not yours to keep. They will grow up and one day leave your house, have lives of their own and someday their own families. Your job is to teach them, advise them, love them and help them to grow into the amazing individuals they are destined to be.” I hope that has I navigate the paths of motherhood that my children will have silly, fun, adventurous, educational, creative and loving moments that help them grow and develop into the wonderful people I know they will be.
My three favorite reasons I love being a mom:
