This weekend my hubby and I got a chance to run errands without kids so we headed to one of our favorite places to go…The Habitat Restore. Now that’s my idea of a date!
I am always on the hunt for a bargain and I have a laundry list of projects I want to do so the Restore is the ideal place to look for the supplies I need. I got several items I can’t wait to get started on…chair rail, molding, picture frames, ect. so stay tuned!
I scored 20 small tiles for $1. Now, I was supposed to be looking for these tiles for my sister who is doing them as a teacher gift, but couldn’t resist making my own. These coasters are beyond simple, cheap & adorable. I didn’t take before pictures, but all you need are some small tiles, scrapbook paper, modge podge & cork board (we used the kind on a roll with sticky backing), I also used my Cricut for the monogram. You can find a tutorial here.
Wow, I love it. By any chance would you know what coating I need to apply on the top of the coaster, to make it water-proof? Thanks
Hi Christina, thanks for your comment. I recommend using the outdoor Modge Podge formula, which highly water-resistant. If you want to ensure your project is waterproof, I recommend a clear, outdoor (or Enamel) acrylic sealer when your project is complete.
