I bought a pattern for the Apron Knot dress from Little Lizzard King and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pattern. It is so simple to sew and I can make 2 dresses for the girls with lots of yummy fabric for less than $30.
You may have seen my first attempt at this pattern when I made outfits for Parker & Piper’s 2nd birthday party, or again when I made Aubrey’s Strawberry Shortcake outfit.
My brother and both of my grandmothers have been in town and our family decided to take family photos to capture the 4 generations on each side. This was a fairly last minute decision and at the 11th hour I decided I wanted to make the girls outfits.
On a recent shopping trip with my grandma to the quilt store I found this ADORABLE fabric
On Saturday afternoon my sister and I decided the colors would work with the white/navy color combo we told everyone else to wear and we went shopping to find pink/orange outfits for ourselves to match. I got busy cutting out fabric and sewing and was up just a tad bit too late (nothing like waiting until the VERY last minute…we were taking pictures on Sunday afternoon!)
But the end result was SO worth it, the girls looked so cute in their dresses!
These are the perfect Spring/Summer dresses and I see lots of trips to the Arboretum, parks and zoo in these pretty dresses.
OMG those are adorable!!! I LOVE the owl fabric! Very cute!!! I wish I could sew because I have 2 girls too and love them in matching outfits! 🙂
Found you through Blue Cricket Design and I would love for you to come by and enter my first ever giveaway for some headbands!!
