Mad Scientist Halloween Party Ideas
Dr. Frankenstein is an iconic Halloween character and what better place to create spooky cocktails than his lab? I decided it would be lots of fun to mix up cocktails and host a Mad Scientist beer-tasting party with a few electrifying details.
In the past, I’ve hosted a kid-friendly Mad Scientist Halloween party for the kids where they mixed up their own sweet concoctions. It was one of our favorite Halloween parties and the inspiration for this Halloween cocktail party.
To properly set the stage I used the Design-a-Room Mad Scientist Backdrop from Oriental Trading and transformed our bar into a spooktacular lab.
A bookshelf filled with spooky decorations, snacks, and test tube cocktails is the perfect spot for guests to mix and mingle.
Science beaker cups are a fun way to serve creative cocktails like Vampire Blood Cocktails or Poisoned Apple Martinis. Don’t forget to add dry ice to make the drinks extra spine-chilling!
Make sure your lab is stocked with terrifying treats. Fill apothecary jars with squishy brains, body parts gummy candy, and magic potions.
My favorite gold skeleton serves the part of bartender and mad scientist all dressed up with a white lab coat and safety goggles.
Halloween Beer Tasting Party Ideas
One of the things that makes this party so electrifying is the bewitching beer tasting. With a play on the Mad Scientist Lab, I knew this Frank & Stein’s Halloween Beer Tasting party would be a hit with our friends.
All you need are a variety of seasonal brews, some festive snacks (like mini franks), and good company.
Part of the fun is sampling a variety of beverages without any expectations or preconceived notions, so don’t be too picky when it comes to selecting the beers. Serve your brews in ice-cold mugs and make them extra spooky with dry ice.
A blind taste test is a fun way to introduce everyone to a variety of styles and breweries they may not be familiar with. You can go a step further and have people write down tasting notes so they can remember which beer was their favorite.
Be sure to visit Oriental Trading for all the decorations and party products I used to create this ‘Frank & Steins’ Adult Halloween Party!
