The holidays are such a magical time of year, but they can also be an incredibly busy time of year. This year host a simple Holly Jolly Holiday party and spend time making memories with friends and family. You are going to Fa La La La in LOVE with this Holly Jolly Holiday Party, and our Holly Jolly Punch recipe is going to be your go-to signature drink this holiday season!
As an avid entertainer, I look forward to the holiday season and the opportunity to entertain our friends and family, but one thing I hear often from my readers is they don’t have the time or know where to start when it comes to holiday entertaining. I’m here today to share lots of inspiration and tips to help you focus on having a jolly holiday season without all the fuss.
Hosting a holiday party doesn’t have to be extravagant. I personally love hosting an open house style party where guest can come and go as their schedule allows. I start by setting up a festive buffet, bar cart or dessert station where I can set out simple snacks and drinks that can be replenished as the evening goes. For our Holly Jolly Holiday Party I set up a cozy little area with a festive bar cart where guest could pour a glass of Holly Jolly Punch or munch on sweet and savory snacks.
I created a simple backdrop by cutting out oversized holly leaves from green cardstock and added red balloon berries. Then I decorated my slim white flocked Christmas tree with the same oversized holly leaves and oversized balloon ornaments. This whimsical tree is so much fun and really makes me feel jolly when I look at it!
Next, I set-up lots of cozy seating throughout the house to make sure guest can get comfortable and linger longer over great food and good conversation. One of the most important things to me when it comes to entertaining is being able to truly spend time connecting with my guest.
Speaking of connecting with guest, Coca-Cola and Kroger are helping me focus on the important things this holiday by providing the perfect products for every occasion, from family dinners to holiday parties. It’s the merriest berriest time of the year, which means my favorite soda of the season is back-Sprite® Cranberry! I always have 2L of Sprite® Cranberry on hand during the holiday season, my family loves the sweet-tart flavor and it’s great mixed into other beverages for a simple mix and match punch or cocktail. Check out this Holly Jolly Punch recipe that is my go-to drink this season!
Add lime sherbert to a large punch bowl or pitcher, pour the Simply® Orange Lt Pulp Free over it and then add the Sprite® Cranberry. Sprinkle in a dash of nutmeg and garnish with cranberries and mint leaves for the perfect holiday drink.
- 1/2 gallon orange or lime sherbet, softened
- 3 cups Simply® Orange juice, chilled
- 1/2 of a 2-liter bottle of Sprite® Cranberry
- 1 can of DASANI® Sparkling Lime
- Nutmeg
- Add sherbet to a punch bowl or pitcher
- Pour the Simply® Orange juice over the sherbet
- Add the 1/2 of a 2-liter bottle of Sprite® Cranberry
- Pour the DASANI® Sparkling Lime and stir everything together.
- Sprinkle nutmeg on top and garnish with cranberries and mint.
This festive drink is perfect for brunch parties, or Christmas morning and will brighten any celebration. You can mix up a big batch ahead of time and let guest help themselves from the Holly Jolly bar cart. I also make sure to include other drink options, like my favorite bubbly DASANI® Sparkling Lime. It’s great on its own, but it also is the perfect mixer for cocktails and mocktails.
