Healthy After School Snacks
Over the years I have found that my kids are more likely to eat something new if it’s presented in a fun way. If I had just sliced up some apples and put them on a plate with meat and cheese they likely would have turned their noses up at it. But, when I string them together on a skewer all of a sudden they have a fun new snack they can’t wait to try.
Packed with healthy protein and the perfect mix of sweet and salty these snack skewers are my go-to snack on busy days because I know it will tide my kids over until dinner time.
Simply start by slicing Truly Grass Fed Natural Aged Cheddar into small cubes.
Next, take sliced lunch meat and cut it up into 2-4 pieces depending on the size and thickness of your lunch meat.
Slice an apple and then cut it into smaller bite-size pieces.
String everything together on a small bamboo skewer, alternating layers until your skewer is full.
