I love traditions and our First Day of School Breakfast is a great way to start off the school year!
Last year was the first year I threw a Back to School celebration and the kids really got a kick out of waking up to a special “party.” My oldest started Kindergarten today and I wanted to make sure it was a super special morning so I pulled out a few decorations and set-up an A+ breakfast for the kids.
The kids fueled up on blueberry muffins (my daughter’s favorite), strawberries, yogurt parfaits, granola and milk. My daughter was so excited this morning she hardly ate any of her breakfast.
I used some of the printables and decorations I had left over from our Back to School party to create a fun little table setting.
I bought my daughter a book as a special present to celebrate her new adventure. I also printed off a bookmark from Dimpleprints Back to School package to remind her to have a great year!
I know that mornings can often be rushed and hurried throughout the year so I wanted to make sure that we took time today on our first day of school to slow down and celebrate this new adventure. My daughter is so excited about school and I hope that her thirst for knowledge and excitement about school stays with her for a long time!
Do you have a favorite back to school tradition?
