Eight years ago today I married my best friend and the love of my life.
It was the perfect fairytale wedding. We got married at the beautiful Castle Avalon in the Texas Hill Country. We held our ceremony in the late afternoon outside in the romantic garden (yes, in June…crazy I know) and then entertained our family and friends in the grand ballroom. No detail was overlooked, and even back then I was making favors, table settings/decorations and so much more. It was a beautiful day and we were lucky to have shared it with those we love.
The past eight years have been an incredible journey with lots of changes, complete with a few ups and downs. The one thing that hasn’t changed is how much I love being married to my wonderful husband. There are so many reasons I love this man, but here are just a few:
I love the way he makes me laugh.
I love the fact that he is so friendly and can make friends anywhere we go.
I love his sense of adventure and his passion for the outdoors.
I love that he helps me with my crazy craft projects or ideas and he doesn’t complain (at least not much.)
I love that he is so patient and optimistic.
I love that he is such a great father and example to our kids.
And most of all I love him more and more each day. I couldn’t be happier to have found such a wonderful man to spend my life with.
