I was asked by Carusele to participate in the #TysonTastemakers campaign, sponsored by Tyson. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are 100% my own.
I love this time of year and I look forward to all my favorite things like fall weather, Halloween costumes and holiday parties. This is also the busiest time of year not only for my business, but also my family. With all of the sports activities, school meetings and holiday parties it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, especially when it comes to getting dinner on the table. Let me introduce you to my new sanity saver, Tyson Tastemakers™ Meal Kits.
If you are anything like me when you start to feel overwhelmed with schedules and work you tend to swing through the drive-thru when dinner time rolls around. I’ve made a commitment to myself, and my family, that even with our busy schedules we will sit down to the dinner table together to enjoy a hearty, fresh home cooked meal. To me the dinner table is where conversations happen and families connect, I don’t ever want to be so busy that I forget to slow down and cherish these moments with my family. But, let’s face it I can’t make dinner happen without a plan and some help. Which is why I was so excited to try out this new meal kit. Available in your grocer’s meat section, there is no subscription required, and each of the kits feature fresh, seasonal dishes with pre-prepped ingredients.
What I loved most is this fresh, seasonal dinner went from fridge to table in less than 45 minutes. It was so simple to prepare that even my kids were able to help. While meal kits have been all the craze, let’s face it – sometimes they can be daunting. Tyson Tastemakers was created for people who are passionate about food but are short on time and with the prep taken care of, people can focus on the best part – cooking.
There were so many delicious options to choose from, but I ended up deciding to try the Herbed Chicken and Farmstand Veggies kit first. One important thing to note is that each kit has 3 servings.
Inside each kit you will find pre-prepped fresh veggies, all-natural pre-marinated meat, chef-created sauces and seasonings and a perfectly paired starch.
You’ll find that most of the prep has been taken care of, all you have to do is follow the simple step-by-step instructions.
Like I mentioned before, I love how quickly this came together. I had this meal on the table with a crusty loaf of bread in less than 45 minutes. I loved sitting around the table with my kiddos, we took turns drawing table talk conversation cards from our DIY game and there were lots of laughs and giggles. Despite our busy schedules it was nice to sit down together as a family, enjoy a fresh home-cooked meal and talk about our day. Surprisingly it was just what I needed to refresh, something I seriously doubt would have happened if I rushed through the drive-thru line.
If you’re like me and your fall schedule is busy, and planning dinner stresses you out, head to your local grocer and pick up a Tyson Tastemakers™ meal kit. The meal kit is currently available in the fresh meals section at grocery stores in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio, click here to see where to buy. For those of you not in Texas you can find a variety of Tyson Tastemakers™ meal kits via Amazon Fresh, Amazon Prime Now and Jet.com for delivery to your home.
