Start by opening up Cricut Design space and the free Trick or Treat Yo Self Candy Boxes Design File.
Hide everything but the cracker box file and click the Make It button. Select the material you are using and load the mat in the machine. At this point you will be prompted to make sure that the Scoring Wheel is inserted in to Clamp B. It will score the box first and then prompt you to load the deep cut blade to finish cutting the box.
If you aren’t familiar with the new Cricut Scoring Wheel, this is a must-have tool to get extra-deep score lines and a flawless finish on everyday crafting materials such as paper and cardstock. It makes crisp folds, which help give your DIY projects a polished finish.
Begin folding all of the score lines on the cracker box.
Pinch the inside triangle pieces inward.
Place the box face up and glue the trick or treat label to the front of the box. To create the labels I simply cut out shapes on the cardstock and then attached a variety of vinyl sayings.
Now it’s time to put your box together. Start by folding the box and gluing the flap to the inside edge.
Next, use Baker’s Twine to pinch one side together and tie the end of the candy box.
Fill the box with your favorite candy or other Halloween goodies and then close that end with the Baker’s Twine.
To complete the candy box add ribbon, stickers or additional embellishments to the ends of the box.
These colorful party favors are perfect for your Colorful Trick or Treat Yo’ Self Candy Cart or Halloween party favors. So go ahead, Treat Yo’ Self!
