When it comes to Halloween you can never have too much candy. A Colorful Trick or Treat Yo’ Self Candy Cart is the perfect way to pass out Halloween candy!
Whether you are looking for a unique idea to pass out Halloween candy or you want to host a simple play date for your kids, this Colorful Trick or Treat Yo’ Self Candy Cart is a fun way to celebrate Halloween. I love Halloween and hosting parties all month long, so I’m always looking for fun and unique ways to celebrate with my kids. One of my favorite parties I ever hosted was a colorful Monster Mash party. I loved all of the decorations and the vibrant non-traditional Halloween colors. It inspired the color pallet for this simple celebration.
Sometimes it can be hard to find the decorations you want when you are using a non-traditional color palette. That’s where the Cricut Maker comes in handy. I was able to create lots of custom colorful decorations with the Cricut Maker, cardstock and vinyl. I’ve said it before, my Cricut Maker is hands down one of my favorite craft tools. With its expandable suite of tools and advanced Rotary blade and Adaptive Tool System (including Knife Blade and Scoring Wheels,) Cricut Maker™ gives you the freedom to make virtually any DIY project. I’ve made it easy for you to create your own colorful Trick or Treat Yo’ Self Candy Cart, here’s how.

Everything I created for this party was super simple and it took me about an hour to make all of the decorations. I used the colorful Candy Shop cardstock and the Trick or Treat Yo’ Self Candy Banner Design File to make a candy themed banner. In addition to the DIY banner I used small dessert plates and painted them to match my color scheme. I made some look like candy and others like silly monsters and hung those up around the candy banner.
Next, I made a Trick or Treat Yo’ Self sign by simply spray painting a wood slat sign I picked up at the craft store with pink spray paint. While the paint was drying I opened up Design Space and the Trick or Treat Yo’ Self design file and cut it out in the Caribbean vinyl. I used transfer tape to transfer the saying to my freshly painted wood sign. I love using vinyl to make my own signs for the holidays because whenever I change my mind I can simply remove the vinyl and repaint the sign.
Once I had some colorful decorations it was time to start putting my candy themed bar cart together. I used my DIY Metallic Bar Cart and filled it with overflowing containers of candy, Halloween trinkets and surprises. The kids could fill up individual treat bags or custom Trick or Treat Yo’ Self Candy Boxes with their favorite treats.
I surrounded the bar cart with lots of colorful pumpkins and monster eyes to create a colorful kid-friendly treat station that is sure to make Halloween extra sweet!
Treat everyone to a little Halloween happiness with this colorful Trick or Treat Yo’ Self Candy Cart and create some extraordinary memories with your little goblins and ghouls!
