I’ve always believed in the quote “it takes a village to raise a child.” I can’t imagine raising my little people without the support, love and advice from my circle of trusted friends and family. I have been blessed with an amazing “village” that helps keep me afloat. So this summer I’m saying “thank you” with a Dirty Coke Float Gift Basket and sharing lots of memories and smiles with my sweet little village of amazing friends!
You know the amazing kind of friends who step in to help out with the kids at a moments notice, friends who listen to daily rants about kids that won’t listen or plan a girls night out when they sense work/life balance is out of whack. I am very lucky to be surrounded by great friends and to share this journey of motherhood with them. I don’t say thank you often enough, but I’m hoping these sweet little gift baskets and heart-felt chats sipping on dirty Coke floats will help my friends know just how special they are to me.
I went to Brookshire’s to pick up the new “Share A Coke” 20-ounce bottles with my friends names on them. I also grabbed a 6-pack of 20-ounce bottles with fun sayings like BFF, Friend and #1. I just love that I can personalize an easy gift by adding these fun Coke bottles.
I may be a little late to the Dirty Coke fad, but I have to admit they are one of my new favorite splurges when I need a little pick-me-up. I grabbed a wooden crate from Michaels and added all the essentials to make Dirty Coke Floats. I added vanilla ice cream, toasted coconut, limes, plastic Mason jar mugs, cute wooden spoons and striped straws…everything you need to make a scrumptious treat!
Of course, I hope that when I deliver my Dirty Coke Float gift basket to my sweet friends that they’ll invite me in to share a few laughs over frosty cold floats!
Want to make your own Dirty Coke Floats? Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream (or use coconut ice cream for a more traditional take on a dirty Coke.) to your mug.
Pour ice cold Coke over the ice cream.
Next, squeeze half a lime into your float.
Top off your float with Coke if needed and finish it off with the toasted coconut flakes.
Add a stripped paper straw and sip away! Smiles, laughs and memories are guaranteed to be made when your celebrating friendships with Dirty Coke Floats!
