Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going. I’m making it a habit to drink more water on a daily basis, but first I’ll admit I need a little extra push to help keep me on track. I’m confident that my new DIY Motivational Water Bottle is just the thing I need to help keep me on track.
Do you ever feel the need to hit the reset button and get back on track? Lately, with all the holiday celebrations, rainy weather and demanding work schedules it’s been challenging to stay on track with my healthy living goals. I know, I know, excuses are useless and the easy way out. Which is why I decided to head to Wal-Mart for a new water bottle and start being stronger than my excuses.
I figured buying a new water bottle would help motivate me, and of course I had plans to use my Cricut to make it even more motivating…because let’s face it with my busy schedule I sometimes need a reminder! I found the new Brita Water Bottle in the hardware section and loved that the built in filter makes it easy to have filtered water at my fingertips anywhere I go so I don’t have any more excuses for not drinking my daily water.
I usually do a really great job of drinking plenty of water in the morning but as the day goes on I tend to forget so I wanted to make a motivational reminder front and center on my new water bottle. I spotted this label online and purchased the SVG file to create my own personal version that would help me drink more water. Remember, I need lots of motivation so I used my Cricut to add my own “motivational peep talk” for this motivational water intake sticker. After designing the file like I wanted it I cut it out in white vinyl.
Next, I placed the vinyl on the water bottle where I wanted it.
Then I slowly started pulling the transfer tape back to reveal the vinyl sticker.
I love it, a fun way to remind me to drink more water!
And because cute stickers on fancy new water bottles aren’t enough I’m sharing my favorite way to make drinking water more fun. I love fruit infused water, but my favorite flavor combination is strawberry, mint and lime. It’s like sipping on a refreshing summer beverage, but of course so much better for you!
Fill your DIY motivational water bottle up with ice cold water.
Slice up strawberries, limes and mint and drop them into your Brita Water Bottle.
Continue to refill your water bottle throughout the day for refreshing fruit infused water that will keep you motivated and on track with your healthy living goals! That’s just one of the benefits of using the Brita Water Bottle, you can fill up on filter water from any tap or drinking fountain source, so there are no more excuses!

Mariah is not allowed to share this design with anyone. She used my design and changed the font for “You did it!” and then added her own words in her font for additional text. She did NOT CREATE this sticker at all. You can see it in my ETSY shop at https://www.etsy.com/ca/transaction/1045533809

So cute! I love this. I really need a Cricut!!
Thanks! My Cricut is my absolute favorite craft tool, definitely an investment worth considering. 😉
I LOVE your motivational water bottle! One of my goals for 2016 is to drink more water and I can see adding that sweet printable onto my infused water bottle might motivate me to get er done. Now I need to find someone with a Cricut to cut the vinyl for me. I’m featuring your water bottle this weekend at the DIY Sunday Showcase Party!
Thanks Marie! I have found that extra little reminder and motivation really helps me stick to my goals, good luck!
Hi I’m wondering what kind of vinyl you used for this project? I am wanting to do this for myself and gifts but I’m not sure if the vinyl I have will actually stay on the bottles.
Thanks!
Hi Hannah, I use the Oracal 651 Permanent Outdoor Vinyl Sheets from Expressions Vinyl and it holds up really well. I only hand wash mine, but occasionally my husband will throw it in the dishwasher and it’s held up even after that. Hope that helps!
Mariah, the link doesn’t work anymore. Do you have the contact for the store owner? I don’t like the other ones in etsy.
Hi Aileen, sorry that link wasn’t working. I found another link to the same SVG file, you can purchase the file here https://www.etsy.com/listing/263683262/cutting-file-for-water-bottle-with-time?ref=shop_home_active_1.
Your modified design is fantastic! Such a shame you don’t sell yours as I prefer it much more than even the original. Thanks for the inspirations.
Thanks Jodie, glad you like it. Hope you can make one that will encourage you to drink more water throughout the day. 🙂
New to the Cricut world. How do you get it from computer to bottle?
Hi Kim, once you download the file you will need to open it in Cricut Design space. Use the vinyl setting on the Cricut machine to cut the design out in the vinyl. Once you have done that you will need to use vinyl transfer paper to transfer the vinyl image to the bottle. I hope that helps some, but if you have additional questions feel free to email me.
Thank you for this! I finally purchase the svg file from Etsy. I just want to know the font you used for the motivational words?
Hi Faye, I used the font called Learning Curve in the Cricut Design Space Library
Thank you 🙂
