A party is brewing, and it’s time to scare up some fun this fall with an adult-themed Boos & Brews Halloween Beer Tasting party.
Halloween Beer Tasting Party
Forget the tricks this Halloween and treat yourself to a night filled with drinks, food, music, and fun at this bewitching Boos & Brews Halloween Beer Tasting Party.
You may have recently seen my family-friendly Halloween Root Beer Tasting Party. After hosting my family over and having so much fun sampling root beer I knew it would be just as much fun to plan an adults-only beer tasting party for our friends.
It’s no secret I’ve always loved a good party theme, but sometimes I think we reserve all the fun themes and decor for kids’ parties. A few years ago I hosted a Beer Tasting Birthday Party for my husband and quickly realized all the adults were not only excited to celebrate, but they love a good-themed party too!
I teamed up with Oriental Trading to create this adult-themed Halloween party, so be sure to visit Fun365 for all the party details and products used to recreate this bewitching party.
How to Host a Beer Tasting Party
This Halloween party is a twist on the traditional beer tasting. I’ve found that the best way to host a beer-tasting party is to have a central location where everyone can gather around to taste and compare.
I like setting the table with tasting boards, scorecards, and snacks. It’s easy to set up and makes it easy for the conversation to flow among guests. Obviously, I found all of the spooktacular party supplies from cauldron-shaped plates to personalized spooky party napkins at Oriental Trading.
TASTING BOARD AND TASTING CUPS
A key element to a successful beer tasting party is to have individual tasting boards and cups for each guest. I found inexpensive boards and cut out 2″ circles with numbers to help each guest keep track of each drink.
I used my Cricut to create Halloween decals for the tasting cups. This little detail is an easy way to carry your theme throughout the party. You could also use vinyl to number each of the tasting cups so your guests can easily keep their tastings in order.
BEER TASTING LABELS
A blind taste test is a fun way to introduce everyone to a variety of styles and breweries they may not be familiar with.
As the host, you will place the beer in bags to conceal their identity and keep track of which beer is poured in which tasting glass. An easy way to do this is to use custom beer labels.
Finally, there’s no need to be intimidated by hosting a beer tasting. Part of the fun is sampling a variety of beverages without any expectations or preconceived notions. Simply select a variety of beers from your local store and use the Black Cauldrons to double as both a fun centerpiece and a cooler to keep your drinks cold. Here’s a pro tip, use dry ice instead of ice, it will keep your drinks cooler longer and the smoky effect the ice gives off is perfect for Halloween.
RATE, RANK, REVEAL
After everyone has sampled their favorites it’s time for them to rate, rank and reveal their favorites. An easy way to do this is to use Beer Tasting Scorecards. I found mine at the Target Dollar Spot, but you can purchase custom designs on Etsy, or create your own.
This is a great way for everyone to remember their favorites and discover new varieties to purchase in the future.
A Party Is Brewing
Once the tasting is finished, let guests choose their favorite from the”Brew Bar.” Load a bar cart with all the party essentials like a large inflatable black cauldron full of ice, a Halloween Drink Dispenser with a signature cocktail, in addition to a variety of drinkware like mini black cauldrons and personalized “Here for the Boos” personalized steamless wine glasses.
From spooky drinks to stout adventures this adult-themed Halloween party is a delightful mix of classic and creepy. With bubbling cauldrons and witch-themed decor, this party is sure to conjure up spooky spirits and lots of fun!
