This morning while I was cleaning up from breakfast Miss A. announced she wanted to paint a dinosaur. Really? Not sure where this idea came from but since it has been a while since we did a craft project I knew I needed to indulge her desire.
I had no clue where to start so I headed over to No Time for Flashcards because I have seen several dinosaur crafts on her site. Jackpot! They made a hand print stegosaurus that looked cute & easy.
We gathered our supplies; paint, paper, scissors, paintbrush & pen.I drew a very rough sketch of a dinosaur. No perfection here.
We traced her hand several times (she loves to have her hand “drawn” and I think this is her favorite part.)
I was going to paint our dino green, but Miss A. REALLY wanted a pink dino. She used the paintbrush & mostly her hands to paint
We were out of googly eyes so Miss A. picked out a purple button for the eye.
We let it dry and then cut it out and glued it all together on a blue sheet of paper.Success, even if it doesn’t really look like a Stegosaurus it’s still Stupendous. Aubrey was very proud of her pink dino and wanted me to take her picture.
super cute Mariah!
