Spooktacular Halloween Spider Party

Spiders, spiders everywhere, it’s a Spooktacular Halloween party!  This classic black and orange Halloween party features creepy crawly (but super cute) printables from Swish Designs.

For this party I focused on the darling spider in the printable package  and the traditional orange and black color scheme. A lace spider web table cloth layered over a white table cloth created the spooky backdrop and everything else stood out against the black table cloth on the dessert table.
Using simple store bought items I created some spooktacular Halloween treats.  I made chocolate cupcakes in my black and white polka dot baking cups and topped them with orange frosting and embellished them with spiders and cupcake toppers from the party package.  I added them to my spider web cupcake stand with orange cups filled with popcorn and candy corns.  Spider web plates held licorice bundles, Oreo cookies were tied with orange and white baker twine for some “creepy cookies” and white powdered donuts made tasty “spider bites.”   My favorite element was the “sticky webs” made with purple cotton candy and striped paper straws.

This Spooktacular Halloween Spider party is perfect for play dates, classroom parties or a get together before trick-or-treating.  I can’t wait for Halloween, it’s one of my favorite holidays!  Do you love Halloween too?  What is your favorite part about this spooky holiday?
