Today I’m sharing two of my favorite things, entertaining friends and Coca-Cola, with a festive Share Holiday Joy with a Coca-Cola Winter Party. While this time of the year can be incredibly busy it’s also the perfect time of year to spread a little joy and take a break from all the hustle and bustle. Since the weather here is still quite lovely I decided to pack up my lemonade stand and head to my favorite park for a sweet celebration with friends.

I could drink Coca-Cola from anything, but for our party I thought it would be way more fun to serve it in the old fashioned glass bottles.  I stocked up on the 24-pack of Coke de Mexico Coca-Cola glass bottles available at Sam’s Club.  I used them for every detail of the party from start to finish.  I had fun using the bottles and bottle caps to create simple decorations for our winter party, from the smaller details like the Coca-Cola bottle tops on the banner to hand painted decorative Coke Bottle Santa (which we also gave out to friends to take home.)

I made invitations with a cute stamp set I have had forever and attached them to Coca-Cola bottles and delivered them to our friends.  I’ve always been a big fan of personalized and creative invitations, I believe it sets the tone for the party and let’s guest anticipate just how much fun is to come!

Because this is a busy time of year and I don’t need to add any more stress to my life I really tried to keep this party simple.  I wanted it to be an opportunity to really kick back and unwind with our friends while enjoying the season so I kept the decorations simple and used things I already had.  I took one of my plaid blanket scarves and used it as a table runner on my lemonade stand, I thought it matched perfectly with my vintage Coca-Cola crates.

I always have lots of pretty paper straws on hand so I pulled a punch of red, gray and black polka-dot straws and put them in a shiny gold Mason jar.  I added a Coca-Cola bottle top for a little pop of color and to keep with our Coca-Cola theme.  I had a pile of gold polka-dot tags for people to write their name on and help them keep track of their drinks while mingling.

Wood platters were filled with bite size party appetizers that guest could grab and munch on while sipping their Coca-Cola. To keep things easy I purchased pre-made appetizers at my Sam’s Club, they have the best party appetizers that look like you put a lot of effort into making them.

I had seen a recipe online for Coca-Cola Fudge and because I love all things Coca-Cola I decided to give it a try.  I tweaked the original recipe a bit and used the Coke De Mexico Coca-Cola, which is made with real sugar and no high fructose corn syrup, to the recipe.  It was the perfect sweet treat for our winter party.  Get the printable version of the Coca-Cola recipe below.

If you’ve been following my blog recently you’ve probably noticed I am obsessed with deer this holiday season.  I’ve added them to just about everything from my hot coca mugs to my distressed wooden chalkboard and now I can add them to my holiday entertaining.  I am completely smitten with this antler bottle opener!

This season our family is focusing on bringing joy to others so hosting a party with our friends and creating some extraordinary memories is always fun, but one of the surprising parts of this winter celebration was the attention we drew at the park and the opportunity we had to share joy and a bottle of Coca-Cola with complete strangers.  We handed out ice cold bottles of Coca-Cola to people out walking at the park, and everyone loved it.  Sharing with others is always a great way to bring a smile to others and this simple gesture was a hear-warming way to share a little holiday joy!

Yep, it’s that easy to share a little holiday joy with the special people in your life.

I want our friends to remember the joy and magic of the holiday season so we sent them home with a little bit of extra love in the form of mistletoe.  I wrapped a few branches of mistletoe together, tied it with ribbon and added a Coca-Cola bottle top.

  • 3 Tablespoons of Coke de Mexico Coca-Cola
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
