Here's The Scoop Ice Cream Gift Basket

It’s National Ice Cream Month and we thought we would celebrate by sharing our favorite treat with our friends and neighbors. Because who doesn’t love getting surprise gifts and who doesn’t love ice cream?!? This month turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary and delicious one with our super fun and easy Here’s The Scoop Ice Cream Gift Basket.

This sweet gift basket includes everything you’re friends will need to celebrate National Ice Cream month. Your friends will just need to add their favorite flavor of ice cream and they will be all set to enjoy their favorite frozen treats from ice cream sundaes with lots of sprinkles to Coke floats!

I originally created this “Here’s The Scoop” ice cream basket as a teacher appreciation gift idea as part of the Michaels Makers celebration series. Our teachers loved getting a sweet gift they could take home and enjoy with their families and since I never got around to actually sharing it here on Giggles Galore I thought National Ice Cream month was the perfect time to share it with you. Plus, it was the perfect excuse to recreate this fun idea and share it with friends!

Ice cream is pretty awesome all by it’s self, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make it a little bit more extraordinary with some festive DIY Ice Cream Cone Wrappers, pretty paper straws and custom wooden spoons. Oh and don’t forget the sprinkles, lots and lots of sprinkles!

After we jazzed up our ice cream cones with colorful wrappers I put them in cellophane bags and tied them with twine. Arrange all of the ice cream goodies in a metal bucket and attach one of our “Here’s The Scoop” ice cream tags. We included ice cream cones, a variety of sprinkles, chocolate sauce, wooden spoons, paper straws and napkins in our gift basket, but you can add whatever ice cream toppings you want.
