I am so excited about the arrival of spring. The warmer weather has me itching to spruce things up around our home. After a long dreary winter, spring is the perfect time to freshen up your home decor. Whether you are just giving it a good spring cleaning, adding pops of color with DIY spring decor or redecorating, spring is the perfect season to focus on transforming your space.
I recently re-decorated my tween daughter’s bedroom and created a gallery wall with lots of DIY frames and vinyl word art. I love gallery walls because they can make a big impact in any space and instantly add new life to your decor. Especially when you create your own custom decor like this Hand Painted Love Word Art Canvas.
This month I teamed up with DecoArt to create this easy custom painted word art canvas. I am slightly obsessed with the new 2017 Americana Acrylic craft paint colors. With names like Cotton Candy and Laguna, how could you not be? I used these bold colors to create the Hand Painted Love Word Art Canvas, head over to the DecoArt blog for the step-by-step tutorial.
My daughter has been begging me to redecorate her room and I finally tackled this project and turned an ordinary room into an Extraordinary space she loves. Her room was a blank canvas with boring white walls. Like me, she loves color so we wanted to add lots of it to her new room, but I didn’t want to paint the walls. I decided the best way to add color would be to create a gallery wall with beautiful artwork. If you are like me and have very little artistic talent don’t worry, this Hand Painted Love Word Art Canvas is super easy to create and can be done in less than 3o minutes. Make sure you check out the DecoArt blog for all the details and to see other creative ways to decorate with word art.
What do you think of the new 2017 DecoArt colors? I love them so much and have been using them in several other projects including my DIY Decorated Floral Easter Eggs and my daughter’s Tween Girls Bedroom Makeover, check them out.
