Gypsy Fortune Teller Halloween Party

Basically, it’s no secret that I love Halloween.  One of the reasons I love this time of year so much is the opportunity to create and celebrate things that aren’t a part of your regular repertoire.  I don’t read my horoscope, or visit palm readers but I’m loving this eclectic Boho-inspired Gypsy Fortune Teller party that is all about spirits, magic, fortune, and friends.

DIY Fortune Teller Party Invitations

Every good party starts with an invitation.  This is where guests get their first glimpse of the style, theme, and fun to come.  While I love the convenience of digital invites, I also love surprising guests with invitations delivered with good old-fashioned snail mail.  These DIY Fortune Invitations were the perfect way to get guests excited for the event and set the tone for this mystical party theme.  

DIY Fortune Teller Tent

One of the great things about this theme is you can look around your house and mix and match patterns, textures, and colors with things you already have.  Last year I used PVC pipe to create booths for our Halloween Carnival, so I decided to repurpose those pieces and use them to create a gypsy tent.  Then, I used a variety of draping fabrics to create an eclectic vibe of a traveling gypsy tent.

You can use the Fortune Teller Tent to display the animated Gypsy Witch Fortune Teller or you could hire an actual entertainer to read tarot cards or palms.  Either way, this tent is the perfect focal point for your party.

Halloween Fortune Teller Table Setting

To keep with the eclectic Boho vibe I used a low table and set it with a whimsical place setting.  I layered metallic gold plates with the Fortune Teller Dinner plates and added striped napkins and metallic tarot card-inspired beverage napkins.   

Add a mix of rugs, pillows, and blankets to create a cozy place for guests to gather and enjoy a magical night under the stars.
