As summer arrives and temperatures start to soar it’s no secret you need to reach for water to stay hydrated, but sometimes it can be much harder than you would think. This summer I’m using fruit infused ice cubes and Dasani Sparkling water to escape the chaos, add a little fizzy fun and stay hydrated.
I have tried lots of different sparkling water flavors over time, but until recently I hadn’t found any that I liked. A friend suggested I give Dasani Sparkling water a try back in December, I did and it was life changing. I absolutely love the Dasani Sparkling Lime, and when I need a break from plain H2O I grab a can of this and still feel good about the choice while sticking to my health and fitness goals. A few weeks ago I went to Walmart to stock up on more, but I couldn’t find the Dasani Sparkling water anywhere. I almost broke down right there in the beverage aisle, I had finally found a sparkling water I liked and then it disappears. I drove to several other Walmart stores in search of them, and even started to make extra trips even when I didn’t need groceries, just to look for them. Finally on one one of my trips I spotted the New Dasani Sparkling sleek cans at Walmart, and I did a happy dance right there in the store!
I plan to stock up and keep lots of Dasani Sparkling water on hand this summer, along with fruit infused ice cubes. Using the sparking water to make the ice cubes will help you keep your drink bubbly and fizzy even when the ice starts to melt. Here is what you will need to make the sparkling fruit infused ice cubes.
- Square Silicone Ice Cube Tray
- Dasani Sparkling Lime Water
- Strawberries
- Limes
Start by pouring the sparkling lime water into the ice cube tray, you only want to fill it about 1/2 way full.
Next, place sliced strawberries in the bottom of the mold.
Drop a slice of lime on top of the strawberries. Top with sparkling water to fill the rest of the mold. Freeze the fruit infused ice cubes over night.
When your ice cubes are ready take them out of the molds and place them in your favorite beverage glass. I love sipping on refreshing drinks from my monogrammed mason jar drinking glasses during the summer, it makes me feel like relaxing on the front porch and soaking in the warmth of summer.
Pour Dasani Sparkling Lime water over the fruit infused ice cube and enjoy a bubbly and refreshing beverage that will make your mouth happy. And the best part, you won’t have to feel guilty while sipping on your new favorite drink because it’s a refreshing and healthy water with just the right amount of fizzy, fruity goodness!

Oh! I love fruit infused drinks but having them as your ice cubes and using the Dasani Sparkling for the ice as well is sheer genius! The perfect way to cool off on a hot day for sure!

Yum! I bet using the sprkling water in the ice cubes makes it a lot more fun. Do the ice cubes retain the fizz as they melt, or do they just add flavor? I’m ready to try almost anything to get my 3-year-old to hydrate more!

Hi Leslie, they aren’t fizzy but they add a little hint of flavor. My kids have been loving them.
