This year, spice up your annual Thanksgiving celebration with a colorful Friendsgiving Fiesta!
Colorful Friendsgiving Party Ideas
I love hosting parties and entertaining, especially during the holidays. I’ve been hosting Thanksgiving for our families since the very first year of our marriage. But, I’ve always loved the idea of hosting a Friendsgiving, and since I’m not hosting Thanksgiving this year I decided to make it happen.
I teamed up with Oriental Trading to create this gorgeous jewel-toned Friendsgiving Fiesta with succulents, pumpkins, and fiesta decor.
The best part of Thanksgiving is gathering around the table with friends and family to enjoy good food and great conversations. I love it when everyone lingers after the meal to tell stories until laughter erupts, your cheeks hurt and tears flow.
Each month our group of friends plan and take turns hosting supper club dinners. It’s been such a fun tradition and a great way to make memories in this busy season of our lives. Growing up in south Texas I’ve always loved fiesta-themed parties and I knew that a fiesta would be perfect for our November Friendsgiving supper club.
Colorful Fiesta Decor
Transform your space with a fusion of Thanksgiving and fiesta décor. Use vibrant tablecloths, papel picado banners, and mini piñatas.
Oriental Trading has a huge selection of party products that make it easy to create, plan, and execute unique party themes like this Friendsgiving Fiesta. Be sure to head over to Fun365 to see all the products I used to create this colorful fiesta. Here are a few of my favorite details from this party including DIY Fiesta Fringe Napkin Rings and DIY Pumpkin and Succulent Place Cards.
Spice It Up with Food
Mix traditional Thanksgiving dishes with Mexican flavors. Serve turkey tacos, Mexican Street Corn, and cranberry salsa. Offer a DIY taco bar with various toppings. For dessert, consider pumpkin churros or pecan pie empanadas. Provide a selection of drinks, including margaritas, horchata, and spiced cider.
Farewell Favors
Send guests home with memorable party favors. Small jars of homemade salsa, mini bottles of hot sauce, or festive succulents are great choices. Add a personalized thank-you note to express gratitude for their presence at your Fiesta Friendsgiving Party.
Whether you are away from family this Thanksgiving or you just want an evening to celebrate with good friends spice it up this year and make it an unforgettable fiesta! After all, friends are the spice of life and without good friends, life wouldn’t be complete.
