Fancy Flamingo Mother’s Day Party

Hi, it’s Laura Aguirre, from LAURA’S little PARTY! Today I’m sharing a fun twist to a pink flamingo themed party. I found a free printable from Hostess with the Mostess that truly set the tone, and inspired my Fancy Flamingo Mother’s Day party!

Keeping in mind that us Moms don’t get a chance to put our feet up very often, I wanted this flamingo party to reflect a sparkly, festive, and relaxing atmosphere. To accomplish that, I set up a bar, mixed some fun cocktails, and set out my favorite chase lounge from our patio.

Cupcakes, chocolate covered apples, Oreo cookie cups, and decorative sugar cookies, made my Fancy Flamingo Mother’s Day party that much sweeter!

Using colors of pink, black and gold, I mixed patterns of stripes, polka dots and some sprinklings of gold glitter, to create a fabuloously fun spread that every Mom could enjoy!

Paper lanterns were hung above the bar, a mini flamingo garland adorned the back of our barstool, and sparkly paper mache letters that read MOM, were among my list of eye-catching party decor.

I’m a firm believer that glitter makes everything better.  So, with that in mind, I added gold glitter to a picture frame that held Hostess with the Mostess’ darling Flamingo sign, some martini glasses, a martini shaker, cupcake wrappers, pink favor boxes and the flamingo printables.

Gold I spray painted a round serving tray in gold, and added my martini shaker, cocktails, and cocktail napkins.  Setting it out on the chase lounge was a way to get the Mom guests to relax, and enjoy themselves.

Gold painted wine bottles were used to attach a small flamingo banner. And because I don’t like my guests to leave empty handed, I set out some pink, sparkly favor boxes. They’re perfect to hold all the sweet treats that they’ll want to take home, and enjoy well after the festivities are over.
