As you may know by now Giggles Galore is all about celebrating life’s little moments and making everyday events extraordinary. Since fall is our favorite season we thought we would celebrate everything we love about it with a Harvest Party and Candy Apple Bar.
Plus, I couldn’t resist creating another fun “bar” themed party (check out our Hot Dog Bar Party or our Bruschetta Bar) where guest get to customize their treats. Bar themed food or dessert stations are great for entertaining, they create an interactive atmosphere and get everyone involved in the fun. Plus, they are much less work for you as the host.
Apples are a quintessential fall staple, which is why we decided to build an interactive dessert station around the popular crisp, golden delicious apples. Caramel apples are like autumn on a stick, a gooey-sweet outside and crisp-tart inside, they are a true confectionery delight.
Give your guest the option of picking a whole apple to dip in the gooey caramel (*TIP: Make your caramel in the crockpot to keep it warm and transfer to smaller serving dishes for guest to dip in) or you can use pre-sliced apples for a bite-sized treat that is not only easy for kids to handle but also much easier to eat! Half the fun of caramel apples is decorating them, give your guest lots of creative toppings like M&M’s® Pecan Pie, nuts, crushed cookie, mini marshmallows, toffee bits, toasted coconut and chocolate chips.
We visited our local Walmart to stock up on all of the goodies for our Candy Apple Bar. We believe that making extraordinary memories doesn’t have to be expensive and we love that we can find everything we need for less at Walmart. Plus, you can print this M&M’s® coupon to save even more. MARS wants you to add inspiration to your fall moments with their MARS Bake In The Fun Sweepstakes. Just think of all the fun fall flavors and parties you’ll be able to create!

There are countless ways for guest to customize their caramel apples, and everyone young and old will have fun making them in an assembly line fashion. My favorite part is seeing all the creative flavor combinations and sampling a slice of everyone’s favorites.
Just because caramel is the main topping associated with candied apples doesn’t mean it’s the only thing you can dip these crunchy bites in. We made a creamy caramel apple dip with Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® (see recipe below) for a smooth and sinful dip guest will have a hard time resisting.
Don’t forget to make a refreshing drink for guest to wash it all down. We made a big picture of Apple Pie Punch with Mott’s® Apple Juice, it’s simple and delicious. We also served one of our favorite new drinks Snapple® Apple for those guest who don’t like the fizzy punch.
Don’t forget to plan some fun activities for the kids. Our favorite activity was a simple Apple Toss game, using bushel baskets and fake apples from the dollar store. The kids were divided into teams and tried to see who could get the most apples in their basket first. My kids love a good friendly competition and I love when our activities fit with our party theme.
All in all our Harvest Party and Candy Apple Bar were a great way to celebrate and enjoy some of our favorite things about this glorious time of year. What are your favorite things about fall? Be sure to check out more delicious Fall-inspired recipes here.
