It’s no secret that I love ice cream parties. Especially in South Florida, it’s so hot here and ice cream is the perfect treat, year round. I actually just styled one last month, you can see here. That one was for a classroom. This one, I wanted to style after a vintage ice cream cart, with a modern twist. I stuck with pink, turquoise, and yellow for the colors.
I kept it pretty simple and airy, like I usually like to, but the awning from Oriental Trading, really added something special. I spray painted the PVC and then used adhesive vinyl to create the stripes. I love that I can just change the stripes to use the piece again and again for a variety of different themes.
I wanted to be able to show off the pretty legs of this table to tie in the vintage feel of the party so I wrapped the table top with a pink sprinkle plastic table cloth and taped it underneath. The ice cream banner from the dollar spot at Target matched perfectly. The yellow bucket was also from there, I filled it with ice and it kept the ice cream cold. It even was cold enough to last in the Florida heat for quite some time.
I fell in love with these ice cream bowls and spoons and they were big enough to hold plenty of ice cream with lots of toppings too!
An ice cream party is a really great theme for guests of all ages. It’s perfect in summertime set up by the pool, like this one, and it’s even fun inside in the winter too. Throw together your own Ice Cream party and include a variety of ice cream flavors, toppings, and cute decorations for a fun, interactive party.
