Hello!  I have a super easy summer entertaining idea, Mason Jar Picnic Containers & Stamped Napkins, to share with you today.  If you love dining al fresco in the summertime this easy DIY is a great way to make your picnic, or any outdoor party stand out!

But, before we get started I have a super fun and exciting announcement to share.  I have been handpicked as one of the top 30 craft and lifestyle bloggers for Michaels new Michaels Makers blogger program!  Pinch Me!  I am so thrilled to be part of this team that will bring you new projects, reviews, DIY tips and techniques to inspire you throughout the year.  Now back to the project…

MichaelsMakers_GigglesGalore

Inspired by one of the Summer projects on the new Michaels website I created a fun and easy craft to make summer entertaining a breeze.  Our family loves dining outside during the summer and packing up a picnic to enjoy at the park, an outdoor concert or by the lake is a regular summer activity. These Mason Jar Picnic Containers not only serve as silverware holders, but also double as a drinking glass. Wrap the Mason Jars with a cheerful ribbon to add a pop of color. Don’t forget to attach a chalkboard tags so everyone can keep track of their drink.

Simple stamped napkins make a pretty statement and can be reused over and over again.

Our picnic at the park included sandwiches, fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, orzo pasta salad, cookies, and mini lemon raspberry tarts.  I love using smaller mason jars to create individual servings of my favorite Orzo Pasta Salad, it makes it easy for everyone to grab and enjoy.

Did you know that Michaels now has online shopping? You can now purchase all of your favorite arts and crafts supplies on any computer, tablet or smartphone.  Say what?!?  You mean I don’t have to load all the kids up in the car, drag them through the store repeating “don’t touch that” 400 times only to discover that they don’t have what I need for my project…I’m in heaven!  And one of my favorite parts about Michaels’ new online shopping website is the one-click shopping list for tons of projects all in one place, including these Mason Jar Containers and Stamped Napkins. Find a project you like, click purchase and wait for it to arrive at your door. Easy peasy.  And you can enjoy free shipping on all orders over $50!

LOVE the idea of chalkboard drink tags…reusable and haven’t we all had the frustration of trying to keep track of whose drink is whose? Clever!
