The other day the temperatures in Texas started to warm up and now I’m craving all things spring. I am ready to break out the flip flops and the brightly colored clothes. But, if I’m being completely honest my wardrobe lacks a lot of color (I own a lot of black.) Which is why I decided to add a pop of color with some new DIY bright colored hand painted pendant necklaces .
I’ve been working with DecoArt for a few years and one of the the things I love about working with them is the opportunity to flex my creative muscles and try out some new products and trends that I otherwise may not have ventured into. I love that you can transform everything from junkyard furniture finds, like my DIY Metallic Bar Cart, or create custom canvas artwork you can display in your home. It’s amazing what you can create with a blank surface and a little bit of paint.
Speaking of a blank slate, you can head over to the DecoArt blog to see how I create these colorful hand painted pendant necklaces with inexpensive wood pieces and paint!
This is such a great project because you can customize to fit your personality and style. I think this project would make great gifts, or be a fun afternoon craft project with your tween girls. After seeing me work on this project my daughter’s actually asked if they could make their own. I gave them all of the supplies and let them choose their own paint colors and designs. They had so much fun creating their necklaces and were so proud of the finished product. I love it when that happens!
Make sure you head over to the DecoArt blog to see how you can create your own fashion statement with your colorful hand painted pendant necklace and a pair of bright colored earrings.
You are very artistic, these are great #ourminilinkyparty@_karendennis
