It’s finally here, the first day of school! We are so excited about starting a new school year and can’t wait for all the adventures this year will bring. We know that starting a new school year can be stressful for everyone, but we believe it should also be lots of fun and memorable too. Which is why I created these fun DIY Apple Treat Bags & Printable Lunch Box Notes to make the first day of school extra special for my kids.
I am always looking for creative and easy ideas to turn the ordinary into extraordinary and when my friend Lindi from Love the Day shared her DIY Apple Treat Bags I just knew it would be the perfect way to package a special treat for my kids lunch. And to make it extra special I created some lunch box notes that will definitely ensure a few giggles at lunch time.
While shopping at Walmart for back to school lunch supplies I discovered these new Snack Pack Pudding Bars and knew these would be a treat my kids would love finding in their lunch. I’m certain these pudding bars will be the talk of the lunch room when my kids discover them neatly tucked away in these easy to make DIY apple treat bags along with our free, funny printable lunch box notes.
Have you tried these new Snack Pack Pudding Bars? These pudding bars are for the perfect for those special lunch time treats, after-school snacks or on the go. My kids love them!
Here’s what you’ll need to create a fun and special lunch box treat:
- Red Treat Bags
- Apple Printables from Love the Day
- Hole Punch
- Red Ribbon or Twine
- Printable Lunch Box Notes
First, fill your treat bags with a yummy treat.
Next, add a funny lunch box note for a little lunch time entertainment. Lunch box notes are a great way to let your kids know that you are thinking of them while they are away, plus they make great conversation pieces and might even help your kids make a new friend.
Fold over the top of the treat bag and trim the top so that the corners are rounded. Next, punch two small holes in the top and tie the bag closed with the red and white twine. I used the apple stem and leaves printable from Love the Day and attached it to the bag with double sided tape.
That’s it. In just a few short minutes you have a fun treat that will make lunch time a whole lot more fun! These apple treat bags are so easy to make that even with the hustle and bustle of a new school year you can easily make lunch time an EXTRAORDINARY memory for your kids!
Don’t forget to pack those school lunches with some extra fun, download our free printable lunch box notes and add them to your easy DIY apple treat bags for an EXTRAORDINARY lunch time treat!
We love to hear how you are making memories with your kids. Leave a comment and tell us what creative things you do you throughout the school year to make lunchtime fun.
