I often get asked what my favorite craft tool is. My response is pretty easy, I love my Cricut. It is such a versatile tool that allows me to create all kinds of projects from home decor to party favors. I am thrilled to share with you my Cricut Explore Air 2 Review and a quick and easy Halloween project with you today. Plus, you do not want to miss an epic giveaway at the end of this post!
I have owned a Cricut machine for 7 years. Actually, my first machine wasn’t technically mine. My mom was home sick from school one day and happened to be watching QVC while the Cricut Expression was being featured. She called me and told me that she just bought this really cool machine and she was pretty sure my dad was going to kill her for spending that much money on a craft machine. It didn’t take long before I was borrowing the machine to make projects. Eventually I just quit returning it to my mom and it found permanent residence at my house.
I eventually upgraded to the Explore and truly love all the features of that machine, which is why I was a little hesitant to try out the new Cricut Explore Air 2. Could it really be that much better? The answer is yes, the Cricut Explore Air 2 has won me over. It is up to 2x faster than the older machine and with the embedded Bluetooth® feature I can create on the go. When you are a busy mom of three constantly on the go, every minute counts. Having the ability to select Fast Mode when I need to make a quick project, like a last minute teacher gift for Halloween, is an absolute dream.
Halloween is almost here, but I have you covered with a quick and easy Halloween Skeleton Treat Bag that will make great gifts for teachers, neighbors or co-workers.
What you will need:
- Cricut Explore Air 2™ Machine
- Cricut Cutting Mat
- Cricut Design Space Skeleton Shoe Design
- 1 roll silver glitter Iron On
- 1 roll gold glitter Iron On
- Black favor bags
- Iron
I selected the Skeleton Shoe design from the Cricut Design. I love that you can customize any of the projects in Design Space or you can make them as is for a quick and easy project.
Set the dial to the Iron On setting and cut out the images on the vinyl. Make sure you click mirror image before cutting the vinyl.
Lay the iron on designs on top of the black favor bags and cover with a light cloth and firmly press and hold the iron in place for 10-15 seconds.
Fill with candy and deliver to your favorite people, just in time for Halloween.
That’s it you’ve created a fun Halloween project in less than 20 minutes with your new Cricut Explore Air 2™ Machine. With all that extra time what will you do?
The Cricut Explore Air 2™ Machine has lots of the same features that you’ve come to love with the other Cricut machines. To see all the great features and the fast mode check out this video.
