I wanted to make these Bingo jars for my twin’s Vintage Dick and Jane birthday party, but ended up running out of time, so when the Piggy Bank Parties Crew decided to join forces for a Valentine’s Day collaboration I knew exactly what I wanted to do. This easy project is a fun activity for your next party and can also double as pretty decorations and party favors.
To make this fun and pretty party game you just need a few simple supplies: quart size mason jars, large doilies, white paper, glue dots, conversation hearts, Piggy Bank Parties Bingo cards and cake stakes.
Take the lid off your jar and turn upside down and trace the inner circle to make a cover for the lid.
Next, print the cake stakes and cut them out using a fancy punch. Using double stick tape attache the cake stake to the white paper circle and then stick to the top of the lid.
Print the bingo cards, cut them out and place them inside your jar. Fill the jar with conversation hearts, which will be used as the markers for the bingo game.
Now take your large doily and cut the center white section out so you only have the delicate lace edge.
Starting at one end roll the doily to form the center of your flower. Continue rolling and gathering the doily to form a pretty flower. You can glue as you go or staple everything together once you have the desired shape you want.
Tie ribbon and twine around the lid and attach your pretty flower using glue dots. Now you have a pretty and functional activity to keep the kiddos busy at your Valentine’s Day party.
