Is gold still a hot trend? I sure hope so because lately I have been doing lots of projects with lots of gold. Everything from gold glitter pumpkins, sparkly gold t-shirts and now my new Be Thankful Vintage Window Decor. Lucky for me some of my blog friends think metallics are still hot too and we’ve teamed up to share 7 marvelous metallic projects with you.
After months of this vintage window, which came from my husband’s grandmother’s farm, I finally found a use for it. Last month I used the new window cling vinyl from Cricut to make my Halloween window and loved how it turned out. When I took down the Halloween decor I knew my window needed a makeover for Thanksgiving.
I have been swamped lately so I needed it to be a quick and easy project. I got out my Cricut Explore and gold vinyl to create the words Be Thankful. It took me less than 10 minutes and I love the simplicity of it.
I added a mini burlap banner with brown and gold ribbon tied in between and hung it from the corner. I think this simple vintage window decor is perfect for Thanksgiving and a great reminder to count my blessings and Be Thankful.
Make sure you stop by and check out all of the metallic projects from my blog friends.

Window cling vinyl – how cool is that?! I’m assuming that makes it easy to remove and change and is possibly re-usable? My first thought when seeing the window was “oh how fun to have an old window out all the time and change it up for each holiday.” Super cute, love the sparkle 😉
I am co-hosting the #HomeMattersParty link party this month and would love to have you stop by for a visit. The door opens for the next party Friday morning! http://alaynascreations.co/blog/
Thank you Alayna, and yes the window cling is easy to remove and you can even reuse it year after year. 🙂 I will definitely check out the #HomeMattersParty I love discovering new blogs and lots of creative ideas!
This is gorgeous, I love it!!
Thank you Cheryl, it’s a great reminder for our family to remember we have so much to be thankful for!
This turned out great. I have been thinking about purchasing a cricut… just for cutting words. I think I might just put it on my Xmas list!
Thanks Mary, my Cricut is definitely one of my favorite craft tools there is so much you can do with it!
