Turning one is fun, but it’s even sweeter when you’re celebrating two birthdays at once!
I am so excited to finally share this Sweet Shoppe Birthday Party I created for Oriental Trading with you. You can get all the details for the party and DIY tutorials for the gumball garland, jumbo sweet shop party decorations and lollipop cookies on the Oriental Trading blog. I was thrilled when one of my good friends asked me to help her plan her twin’s first birthday party. As a mom of twins, I remember what a huge deal it was to celebrate their first birthday. First birthdays are always fun and special, but with twins it almost feels like receiving a gold medal. Many times during my twins first year I remember telling myself that if we could just make it through the first year we were not only going to survive, but eventually thrive with three kids under the age of two. I wanted these precious girls, and their mom, to have a super sweet celebration to commemorate a memorable year.
I created a sweet shop loaded with candy and treats from Oriental Trading. There is a reason there is a saying “like a kid in a candy store.” This giant display of colorful candy made everyone at the party light up. Everyone from the adults, older siblings and down to the cute birthday girls was in a state of utter fascination with all of the tempting treats. We had containers that guest could fill with their favorite sweet treats and even the decorations were inspired by the sugary treats.
This party was oh so sweet, and so much fun, we had a blast celebrating these cute girls turning one! Make sure you head on over to Oriental Trading to see all of the party details.
