Do you have summer traditions that you do year after year? I’m a sucker for creating traditions and building memories, and when it comes to summer backyard movies are a must. But, this year we are putting a fun twist on this classic summer pastime with a movie poolside. Grab some snacks, pull up a pool float and get ready to watch a movie under the stars at this colorful Summer Dive-In Movie Party!
Every summer we host a backyard movie for friends, but this year we decided to kick-off our summer celebration with a movie by the pool, and it was one of the best backyard movies we’ve ever had! I’m sharing all the details for this epic pool party full of fun floats, cool treats, a photo booth and lots of c0lorful decor on Oriental Trading Fun365.
I fell in love with this super adorable vintage movie party line from Oriental Trading and just knew I had to have a party featuring this cute decor. The pool was the perfect backdrop for the vintage aqua, red and yellow party decor, everything popped against the turquoise water.
One of my favorite parts about this party was the adorable Movie Party Treat Stand. I was so impressed with the sturdy quality of this product, it’s something we will be able to use over and over again. This cute little popcorn machine was so much fun and the perfect way for kids to grab some popcorn before the movie started. I put it on top of my DIY metallic bar cart, which was perfect because once the sun went down we could roll it around and serve the kids during the movie.
Make sure you head over to the Oriental Trading Fun365 site to check out all of the party details for our Summer Dive-In Movie Party, including my recipe for Popcorn Cupcakes and the DIY instructions to make a vintage Movie Candy Tray and colorful Movie Party Photo Booth!
With a just a month left of summer I have a feeling that there will be a few more Dive-In Movie parties in our future, after all we have to squeeze out all of the summer fun we can before school starts!
What are some of your favorite summer traditions that you do each year to celebrate with friends and make memories together as a family?
