Hey guys, it’s Jessica from Everyday Party and I’m here to share a fun summer gift idea with you! Some of our friends recently moved, and I wanted to give them a fun little new home gift. They’ve owned a home for a long time, so they didn’t need typical new home supplies, but everyone enjoys getting a gift, so I wanted to make something they would use and enjoy this summer and this peach margarita gift basket was the perfect gift idea.
Since I know them fairly well, I knew I could give them liquor and they would be very happy…and, even though a nice bottle of wine or liquor is a great gift, I thought it would be fun to make them a margarita gift basket! But not just any margarita, peach margaritas. They are my new favorite drink, they are light, and crisp, with a hint of sweet Georgia peach! I filled the basket with pretty linen napkins, a bottle of tequila, a bottle of peach simple syrup, fresh peaches and limes, and a box of Sugarfina Margarita candies. I hand wrote a little recipe card for the Peach Margaritas and slid it in the basket too.
This will probably be my go to gift for all summer occasions. What’s your go to gift for summer occasions?
Peach Margaritas:
2 C Tequila
1 C Lime Juice
1 C Peach Syrup
1 TBS Lime Zest
Rimming Salt
Mix Tequila, Lime Juice, Peach Syrup, and Lime Zest in a large pitcher, and keep refrigerated until you are ready to serve it. Rim a margarita glass with salt, fill glass with pre-made margaritas and ice, and enjoy!
To make Peach Simple Syrup, you will need:
2 large peaches, cut
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
Boil the peaches, sugar, and water for 10 min, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 more minutes.
Strain peach pieces from the syrup and bottle.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
This syrup is the perfect addition to sun tea, lemonade, or even bourbon!
