It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 3 weeks since I attended the ridiculously, fabulous SNAP! Creativity at Your Fingertips conference in Utah. I was incredibly lucky and won a ticket to the conference, I think I was definitely meant to be there! I took lots of pictures, however my camera card was accidentally formatted and I lost most of my pictures (sniff, sniff.)
The theme of the conference was JUST BE YOU, a message we all need to be reminded of from time to time.
Our first night there we gathered together for dinner and listened to Amy from the Idea Room remind us that no matter how big your blog is, how long you’ve been blogging or the amount of money you make blogging..to just be yourself. Everyone received a beautiful necklace from Amy Cornwell to serve as a reminder to do what you love, share what is important and just be you! A reminder that was echoed throughout the conference.
I was so excited to have such an awesome roommate and I am lucky that I’ll be able to say “I knew her when…” Courtney from Pizzazzerie is the ultimate party girl, super sweet and genuine. She shared her story, success and blogging knowledge with me. I also loved hearing about some of the exciting new things she has in the works, like her new party planning site with Frito Lay!
I met so many amazing bloggers and connected with some of my favorite party girls I’ve been following online for years. I enjoyed late night chats, dancing and plenty of party inspiration from these fab party girls!
I was so impressed by the workshops and speakers. The Snap team deserves big kuddos for all their hard work! Here are some of the things I walked away with: I learned about the importance of SEO, social media tips, how to get noticed and featured in the media, how to throw a party like the pros, budget saving ideas and tips, how to define my blogging style and SO much more!
A 3 day weekend with girlfriends wouldn’t be complete without a little shopping. I have oohed and aahed over other bloggers post about The Queen Bee Market and I have to say it certainly lived up to my expectations!
It is a good thing I had to pack everything home with me in my suitcase or I could have done some serious damage! Here are a few of my favorite purchases from Miss Plunket, Bake it Pretty and Cut it Out.
I could go on and one, but over all this was an invaluable experience and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to attend this amazing conference. It is empowering to be surrounded by so many creative, genuine and talented bloggers. The past few years my blog has been my creative outlet and my hobby, but due to recent and unexpected changes in my employment I have found myself inspired to reach for the stars and spend more time and energy doing what I love. I walked away from Snap with so much information and inspiration and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Be the best you that you can be…JUST BE YOU!

I am so glad that you were able to join us this year! I don't know about you, but I am still on a bit of a SNAP! high 🙂
So sorry to hear about your photos. I don't know if it will make you feel any better, but I simply just didn't take any though I carried my camera nearly everywhere.
